“My aim is to inspire young people in the joys and benefits of sports.”

Erling and Arctic are currently working together to support kids in benefitting from the joys of playing sports and developing stronger local communities. The goal for Erling is to give back to local football clubs and communities, creating growth and opportunities for kids to thrive regardless of their background.

This means the world to him, as he himself has experienced the benefits of having proper training facilities available and the positive environment it creates:

Erling practically grew up in “Jærhallen”, an indoor football arena in his hometown of Bryne. He used to run down there and play every day. The arena was a safe place to hang around in a healthy environment with friends and with lots of good people involved in and around the club.

In Erling’s own words: "Together with Arctic and my other partners, my aim is to support children and young people in experiencing the joys and benefits of sports and create even stronger local communities. In the same way that I was lucky enough to experience myself growing up in Bryne".

With Erling on the Arctic team, anything is possible!

A unique career

Erling Braut Haaland (23) was born in Leeds, England, but grew up in Bryne, Norway.

Haaland’s sensational career started at his home club Bryne FK – where he demonstrated an unusual appetite and talent for scoring goals from an early age. Erling then played two successful seasons for Molde FK, before moving to Austria and Red Bull Salzburg. He won the Austrian Bundesliga two times, and the Austrian Cup once. Scoring 8 goals in the Champions League, Haaland presented himself as a massive threat to any international team. From December 2019, he played for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga, with 13 goals in the Champions League and a total of 86 goals in 89 games.

Today

As of May 2022, Erling Haaland officially became a player for Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. With a staggering 52 goals in his first season for the Citizens, Haaland broke the record for most goals scored in all competitions by a Premier League club player. With 36 goals in the Premier League, he also broke the record for most goals in a single Premier League season. In fact, he set so many records that we do not have the space to list them all here!
